Localised flooding after heavy rainfall

Reported via desktop in the Flooding of a road or pavement category anonymously at 18:46, Thu 22 February 2024

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 5617313.

Water runs off the higher land to the south of the road and creates a deep ginger “ford” on the road after heavy rainfall. I have been using this route for five years now and it seems to be a relatively new problem in the last two years that the water drains downhill onto the road but cannot drain away like it used to.

  • I described the problem as being on the A4 near Keynsham. I should have said it was on the A4 near Corston, between the Globe roundabout and Saltford. My pin is close to the correct location.
