The root cause of this is the lack of drainage gullies on the road around Alexandra Park. The entire East Side of the park drains onto the road, and from there onto the steps. There are two drainage gillies I know on the steps, one just above the entrance to no 5, the other just above the corner. The lower one is partially blocked, the upper one is completely blocked. Clearing these might help, but putting drainage onto the road round Alexandra Park is the long term solution.
