Overgrown trees at rear of Greenbank Gardens properties

Reported via mobile in the Trees and woodland category anonymously at 21:21, Tuesday 12 March 2024

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 5704250.

The trees/hedges along the council owned land to the rear of several properties including 51 Greenbank Gardens have been allowed to grow out of control. While they have been cut back up to head height to make paths passable, the top has been left to keep growing and now blocks a lot of light from the gardens and rear of the houses, as well as being a possible safety issue, and preventing light reaching the lower levels to allow them to grow properly. As far as I’m aware there has been no work on topping these trees since at least 2012 when they were considerably shorter. They were presumably never intended to get this tall and desperately need significantly reducing in height along the whole stretch of road.
