Road surface on poor condition

Reported via mobile in the Potholes & road surface category anonymously at 09:11, Sunday 17 March 2024

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 5724645.

The road surface has been deteriorating steadily for several years but the recent rain has accelerated it. There are several large potholes/cracks and it's quite dangerous for cyclists now

  • The road is still falling to bits and there is no evidence of any work having been done. It is dangerous for cyclists in its current state

  • The road has not been fixed, as incorrectly detailed above. There are still large potholes and it is extremely dangerous for cyclists and vehicles. There are numerous comments on here now about the road surface and no works have been carried out to fix the state of the road.

  • A couple of random potholes have been fixed, but the large gashes in the road remain, and some are in really dangerous positions for cyclists. In words of one syllable: the whole road needs to be fixed

  • Seriously large potholes along North Road which are a real danger to cyclists and having been left unattended for so long are going to cause damage to cars too.

  • Still nothing. It's actually quite difficult to drive down without damaging your car
