Blocked gullies 21-23 Charlton road - severe spray in heavy rain
Reported via desktop in the Blocked drain: Blockage inside drain category anonymously at 18:26, Thu 28 March 2024
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 5779760.
Two gullies and the related drain routinely silt-up between annual cleaning cycles.
Heavy rain results in a stream of water on the south side of this narrow road, for up to 50m. Traffic that can't avoid the water causes massive spray over pedestrians and property, including walls and windows.
Gully blocked at no 21 (///loads.light.asset), also affecting gully at no 23 (///secure.gates.vanish). Gully clear at no 17 (///secret.chefs.inspector). Due to the change in gradient, the drain could be blocked through most of this section.
