Road drain blocked with sediment

Reported via mobile in the Blocked drain: Blockage inside drain category anonymously at 13:45, Wednesday 24 April 2024

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 5893986.

We have had contractors clear and repair the historic drain across a field above a renowned flooding point on the A4. Our drains are running clear now. But where our drain joins the road drainage system the the water is backing up. What3words (///tourist.digestion.libraries). Your drains need cleaned out in this area to allow water to flow out to the river and not back up in our field flooding the road.

  • Think I misspelt my email.

    Use this:

    Andy@jamiesfarm.org.uk

Jamies Farm is a charity that owns the field above the road flooding area. We have paid for contractors to clear all the drains from the spring, across our land, to the junction with the road drain below the path. We can see the spring water flowing into your system but it is not clearing. I presume at some location your drain must cross under the road and empty into the nearby river, but is blocked. I can meet you at the location if needed.
