New pavement makes turning into North Road more dangerous for cyclists
Reported via iOS in the Obstruction on road or pavement category anonymously at 11:00, Sun 16 June 2024
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 6112707.
The removal of the lane from Warminster Road to North Road had made it more difficult to turn left on a bike.
This is the part of the road I use to slow down and take the turning. Now the turning is sharper and blocking this section off puts me into the path of traffic.
In winter this junction is wet and slippery - the new angle will increase the likelihood of a cyclist coming off due to the downhill nature and camber of the road.
