Wall repair scaffold and building vans blocking and making road dangerous
Reported via mobile in the Obstruction on road or pavement category anonymously at 13:02, Tuesday 18 June 2024
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 6122433.
Good afternoon. On Lyncombe Hill (opposite Forefield Rise) there is ongoing wall repair work and associated scaffolding. On a narrow (and sometimes busy) road this has been causing problems for over 6 months. Linked to this is the parking of associated building vans (see attached photos) which are causing further blocks. These vans are often not parked properly in parking spaces and are generally just adding congestion and risk to walking, cycling and driving. What are we asking? - First, is there an update to the timeline for wall repairs - the date on the signs keeps getting extended? - Second, is it possible to monitor van parking - they are now repeatedly parking illegally and causing real issues? Many thanks. Gareth Kajzer-Hughes
