Stinging nettles have narrowed the shared use path
Reported via iOS in the Obstruction on road or pavement category anonymously at 06:28, Sat 22 June 2024
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 6139243.
From the Locksbrook Inn to Windsor Bridge the NCN4 shared use path has been narrowed by stinging nettles so that in places it’s impossible to pass another person without being stung - not ideal on your way to work. I thought the council wanted to encourage vehicles off the roads? This was reported by someone else over a month ago and is not yet resolved.

I can also vouch for this & it is not just the river path. These pictures show the difference between the Bath & Bristol upkeep of the path. Part of the Bath track has disappeared under the vegetation. To make matters worse there is a lot of overhang from nettles, hogweed & thorns meaning it is not possible to just brush aside, especially wearing t-shirt & shorts. With the upcoming summer holidays & warmer weather the path will only get busier.
