Pond is almost completely silted up.

Reported via desktop in the Overgrown vegetation in Council parks and green spaces category anonymously at 07:55, Thursday 25 July 2024

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 6272969.

The pond in Victoria Park bath looks terrible due to the amount of silt. Why is it like this so soon after refurbishment?

Updates

  • We have become aware of a leak in the pond at Royal Victoria Park and are currently investigating whether there may be a tear within the lining of the pond. This may require a complete drainage of the pond to establish where the tear/leak is located, prior to undertaking any works to repair. A wet spring and summer has helped maintain the water levels and ecological impacts are minimal because there are no fish in the pond and ducklings have fledged

    State changed to: In progress
