Investigating
Cyclists using Riverside Walk
Reported via desktop in the Obstruction on road or pavement category anonymously at 16:12, Tuesday 6 August 2024
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 6323874.
Contrary to the Cyclist Highway code and a danger to pedestrians, cyclist are regularly using the walk as a short cut. This is not designated as a cycle path but as a walk and is not wide enough for the two to pass safely. The imminent danger to a pedestrian is foreseeable and signs should be erected at either end to advise cyclist not to ride on this pavement. This has been going on for some time but has recently increased with the speed of some cyclists.
