Sycamores growing too close to house / foundations

Reported via mobile in the Trees and woodland category anonymously at 23:06, Wednesday 14 August 2024

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council 4 minutes later. Council ref: 6357961.

I live at 5 Calton Walk BA24QQ. We have 2 sycamore trees growing just on the other side of our boundary that could cause damage to our house. I had reported one last year as it had actually pushed a wall down outside the house making the walkway hazardous. It appeared someone came to take down part of the wall and pile up some of the bricks but did not remove the tree and the wall is still in pieces.

Both trees were cut down as far as they could go by a tree surgeon but they are growing back very quickly - meaning the roots are still growing fast and could cause us damage.

Please can you arrange for both trees to be uprooted or killed at the root to avoid damage to our property, asap.

They are both located on the alleyway between Calton Walk and St Marks Road.

Thank you Rebecca
