Outside 100 Greenway Lane

Reported via desktop in the Faded road markings category anonymously at 12:17, Friday 16 August 2024

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 6364214.

I'm concerns by the amount of cars etc cutting over the (now faded) solid white lines at this location outside of my house. I have two young children who have been educated of the dangers caused by cars but cars frequently cutting the curb and going over the line (that has faded) is not acceptable. They come less than a meter from my property, often at speed. Could a raised section of kerb be added on the entry to the corner as you climb the hill. This would encourage cars not to cut the corner and go over the lines. I've seen this approach applied at other locations around Bath. Ultimately, this is a safety concern and I hope we can find a solution.

  • Was briefly waiting outside yesterday around 4pm. I would say about 50% of passing cars went over the white line. I caught a couple on camera (not the worst offenders tbh). Worth noting this is outside morning rush hour when it's at its worse.
