Gloss Paint spilled on road

Reported via Android in the Excessive or dangerous littering category anonymously at 14:28, Sat 24 August 2024

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council 2 days, 22 hours, 35 minutes later. Council ref: 6393609.

On Tuesday 20th August at about 8.30pm to 9pm, an Aster Housing Association vehicle has driven away from number 6 Blackdown Way and has had white gloss paint coming out of the rear of the van which has spilled onto the tarmac road out of Blackdown Way, onto Beauchamp Avenue and to the junction of Fosseway South. The trail of paint has spilled along Fosseway South upto The White Post Inn.

Aster Housing Association have been made aware but don't seem to take onboard the gravity of the problem of a hell of a long trail of White Gloss paint on the road that their employee has done.

Beecham Place is a new development and the long line of paint is not good at all for the development. The development is in the middle of being handed over to BANES Council, where residents have been told that the developer, Barratt Homes, have said that BANES Council now look after the road and path ways on the development.

Could BANES Council Highways please look into this matter and rectify it and remove the white paint olease?

  • This has still not been rectified yet

  • This issue has still not been fixed by BANES Council yet and I wander why it is taking so long. BANES Council knows it was done by a member of staff from Aster Housing Association so why have they not held them accountable?

  • The paint on the road has yet to be fixed by BANES County Council or the Housing Association, Aster Housing, to remove the paint as it was a staff member of Aster Housing that caused the paint leak.

  • The paint on the road has still not yet been removed by BANES Council and we wonder when the Council will actually remove it or have Aster Housing Association pay fir what their member of staff did.
