Overhanging trees and falling branches

Reported via mobile in the Trees and woodland category anonymously at 21:37, Saturday 31 August 2024

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 6421304.

The trees on the moorfields allotment have become very large and the weight of the branches is causing them to hang very low over the plots. They appear to be in bad condition and very brittle. Whilst working on our allotment today a very large branch fell and snapped on the ground. If someone had been stood underneath they would have been seriously hurt. We have small children who accompany us to the allotment and we cannot allow them to stand under the trees. It is particularly the ash which appears to the the problem. It is the trees which boarded the nursery by moorfields school.

  • Overhanging branches are even lower now. They are obstructing the pathway and looking much more unsafe
