Scaffolding hazard on Bridge Street

Reported via desktop in the Obstruction on road or pavement category anonymously at 16:56, Tuesday 10 September 2024

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 6458484.

Last Wed 4/9/24 I was walking past the table and chairs outside Cortado cafe where people were sitting and naturally walked to the left of them and saw the Scaffolding pole but as you would not be looking down at that point I fell over the block that was supporting the Scaffolding. Luckily I did not break anything thank goodness but I am badly bruised and was really shook up.

I have heard since then someone else also tripped over the same place. I am not against table & chairs outside cafes but not if it can cause a safety issue when Scaffolding is also there. If the Scaffolding is still outside Brora, I think the Table & Chairs at Cafe Cortado which is next to the scaffolding on the pavement should not be there while the Scaffolding is in Place. Please can this be looked into?
