Kelston view park trees
Reported via mobile in the Trees and woodland category anonymously at 12:03, Saturday 14 September 2024
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 6471161.
I reported for the trees to be inspected back in June due to several heavily leaning close the rear of the windsor villas properties and neighbouring flats. I was informed that the trees are due to be inspected every 3 years and that they would be reviewed in early autumn. The trees are starting to lean more and more which is causing alarm as with the winter coming and no doubt storms, these trees will be at risk of falling.

Reading through the other members of the public’s reports regarding the trees, I can see that a report from October 2023 was responded to with the promise of an inspection early 2024. I can only assume that this was not carried out due to my recent response from the council in June 2024 stating the trees are routinely inspected every 3 years and due to be inspected early autumn 2024? regardless these trees need to be actually inspected, or the case notes updated on the original report to say this has been done.

Thank you for your report. We have investigated your report and are now dealing with the issue. The trees have been checked and there is no indication that the there is a imminent high risk of tree failure. The full routine inspection is due to be carried out this autumn and any essential works will be prioritised accordingly and included in the tree works programme.
