Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 6479049.

This issue was reported previously, over 6 months ago and has not been resolved. Branches are overhanging private property and branches are falling onto parked vehicles which is causing damage. If BANES are unable to tidy this tree and make safe, we will look to take action ourselves!

Updates

  • Thank you for your report. We have investigated your report, have visited the site and are now dealing with the issue. In June there were no fallen branches from the cherry tree present when the site was inspected and there were no external signs that the cherry tree was in poor health and prone to branch failure. Pruning back the canopy will be included in the routine works programme. You do have the right to prune back branches overhanging your land to the boundary.

    State changed to: In progress
