Warning Sign Flattened

Reported via desktop in the Road sign damage category anonymously at 13:54, Wednesday 25 September 2024

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 6514696.

The "Road Narrows" sign at the foot of The Hollow, warning motorists going west on Church Lane towards Brooklands and beyond, has been knocked flat. It looks like something hit the warning triangle and the rusty pole crumpled at ground level under the impact. We have seen HGVs blindly following SatNavs along Church Lane from the A367 getting as far as The Hollow before realising what the "Unsuitable for HGVs" signs were for then trying to do a 39 point turn around the triangle at the bottom of The Hollow. Quite possible it's happened again.
