Flooding at junction on corner of Broadmoor Lane & small lane by kennels

Reported via desktop in the Flooding of a road or pavement category anonymously at 14:57, Tuesday 8 October 2024

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 6566648.

There is a large amount of water building up and flooding the road as there are not sufficient drainage channels in the area. The drains are overflowing and shooting up muddy water up to 18 inches above the drain. One of the two drains seems to be fully blocked now as only one drain is shooting water up. The whole lane is flooded due to drainage issues and cars/tradesmen are refusing to drive down the road and is restricting access. This flooding is also causing gravel and other debris to be spread around the road. Could be please be looked at urgently?

  • Resident called to enquire when the work is scheduled to repair/unblock the drains here. She said that tarmac has recently been placed on top of the drain to stop the water shooting up but that has been forced off from the pressure of the water and has now spread tarmac across the road. Is there anything in the schedule to complete a long term repair?
