Regular flooding on road as drains aren't draining properly - A368, Compton Martin Road
There's a dip in the road on the A368 approx 800 yards from the Old Bristol Road junction towards West Harptree, and when there's rain, water drains from the fields onto the road. There were drains recently installed to help remove this surplus water, but this doesn't seem to be working. It could be that the drains are blocked, or it could be that the pipe the drains connect to (which flows to Fairash Farm) is broken. Water should go down the main ditch, but it isn't as drains don't work properly and goes down road and floods just before blue bowl pub.
This has been an ongoing issue for several years, and it would be worthwhile if a resident could chat it through with a member of the drainage team to help show the issue. Please could you get in touch from the attached contact details?

Update from resident that the distance from the A368 approx 150 yards from the Old Bristol Road junction towards West Harptree (rather than 800yd as originally put down). Resident also would like to state that the root cause of the issue is most likely a broken pipe in the field which is causing the pool, which is alos causing issues further down the hill in West Harptree. Also would like to add that there are no ditches on the right hand side of the a368 coming west out of West Harptree.

The resident has called and would like to add that the culvert under the road that leads from the crossroads by Fairsash Bunglaow down to the B3114 is broken and has been for many years, which is connected to this issue causing flooding further down the hill.
