30mph sign on Rush Hill needs to be removed as there is street lighting present
Reported via desktop in the Road sign damage category anonymously at 15:12, Tue 5 November 2024
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 6697717.
The 30mph sign opposite Spring Cottage on Rush Hill needs to be removed. It is acting as a repeater sign & as there is street lighting present, it is not compliant with the traffic regulations for restricted roads. Repeater signs on Restricted Roads, ie ones with street lighting present, are not allowed unless the speed limit is other than 30mph. As such the speed order for this road is compromised & will not support any prosecutions for speeding. This is a road Safety Issue.

My address is 119 Rush Hill I live off the main road (Rush Hill) in a small cul de sac. It is a narrow road and has a slope in the turning point at the far end next to the field. We used to have a grit bin but now don't. Recently when it was icy my car was stuck on the slope and I could not reverse blocking my neighbours drive. Please can the grit bin be replaced it was at the entrance to the field before. Many thanks Donna Wiles
