Just before the crossing by the coffee shop

Reported via desktop in the Dangerous road surface (including ice, mud, spillage or debris) category anonymously at 15:31, Wednesday 6 November 2024

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 6702026.

The path looks flat especially at night but there is roughly an inch or so of curb at certain points ( it is completely flat in places). This slight drop is between the path & cycle lane & impossible to see the difference in the slight height change with just street lighting. My foot slipped off the edge of the path causing me to go over on my ankle & fall forward hitting the floor & fracturing my right shoulder & spraining my ankle.

  • Dear Ms Walters

I am sorry to hear of the situation you have described.

As you may be aware, some action has already been taken to improve pedestrian awareness of the cycle lane and associated kerbs in the High Street, but no further changes are proposed at the present time. This correspondence will, however, be retained on file for future reference, so I do thank you for submitting your suggestion.

    Kind Regards
