Blockage under bridge on Pensford Hill causing damage to bridge and flooding of fields

Reported via desktop in the Blocked drain: Blockage inside drain category anonymously at 09:44, Tue 26 November 2024

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 6785160.

Under the bridge its all blocked up and the water is flowing into the fields and causing damage - water has been flowing onto the road in the past. This is damaging the stonework and water is getting under the wall. Someone came out last year to clear under the bridge, please can this be done again?

  • The water level is lower and you can see that the culvert blockage is made up of wood & sticks. It would be a good time to clear it this week due to the water level.

  • This blockage has caused a burst pipe in the field to the north. Is this pipe going to be repaired now that the bridge has been fixed.
