Vehicle abandoned

Reported via mobile in the Abandoned Vehicles/Bikes category anonymously at 15:40, Fri 29 November 2024

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 6801182.

The vehicle has been dumped and untouched for at least 8 months. It meets all your criteria for an abandoned vehicle: 1. No-one has been seen using it in over a month, 2. It has flat or bald tyres, 3. It has rusted or broken parts, 4. It has debris or vegetation inside, 5. It is on land maintained by the council (its on a main road) Also the MOT has expired so its illegally on a road I believe. Quoting the West Yorkshire Police website "You will commit an offence if you park a vehicle without an MOT on the road".

  • 6 weeks later and the abandoned car is still there. Any update?

  • This vehicle is parked outside the keepers who has been in contact stating it is not abandoned. We understand it has a flat tyre, no mot and insurance void yet we can only remove truly abandoned vehicles not just illegally parked. We will contact the keeper for an update on what action they are taking.

    State changed to: In progress
