Pavement obstruction
Reported via mobile in the Obstruction on road or pavement category anonymously at 14:00, Sat 30 November 2024
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 6803633.
Taylor’s Bagels on London Road/Walcot Street use the pavement outside their business for tables and chairs. Whilst this is a good thing for the area, the number of chairs completely blocks the pavement forcing pedestrians, wheelchair users and pushchair onto the road and into traffic. The permitted number of tables and chairs needs to be reviewed, and if the number is exceeding what has been permitted then the licence needs to be enforced.

This is still an issue 4 months later. I passed by here last week with a friend in a mobility scooter and I had to move an A-board to enable him to pass by; a young woman came out to give me attitude for moving the signage but disappeared back inside when I explained my friend couldn't get by. This needs attention.
