Blocked Drain - Parkway Lane

Reported via desktop in the Blocked drain: Blockage inside drain category anonymously at 13:02, Wed 4 December 2024

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 6818616.

Drain is blocked inside. Location is under the mud. The road cleaner came up today but couldn’t clear the mud. The drain is blocked as has been for 8 months The road has build up of mud which cannot go away as its on level The drain was reported on 15/2/24 on 5579907 Its a complicated network where the run off from the field goes into a underground culvert, there is an inspection hatch 20m to N. There is a gulley in the road and both these connect to another culvert that runs into the valley another 20m N. Sometimes the water pushes the infection hatch up, other times water flows up the gulley and along the road to a cut in the bank (which is just above where the culvert drains) Earlier in the year the water pushed the gulley cover up causing a hazard but the highway inspector resited it.
