Water leaking down driveway of Bath Spa Hotel freezing on road and pavement

Reported via mobile in the Dangerous road surface (including ice, mud, spillage or debris) category anonymously at 07:47, Thursday 9 January 2025

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 6954434.

Water has been leaking down the driveway of Bath Spa Hotel for sometime (always wet even in summer) this is having an effect on the road quality just below the area as potholes are forming and during the freezing conditions has now become a very dangerous part of the road and pavement. I was under the impression that water cannot enter the highway from a private residence thus they clearly don't have adequate drainage on the driveway. If someone was to drive out of Sham Castle lane onto Sydney road, they could not stop due to ice and possibly hit a pedestrian trying to navigate the ice of pavement/junction. The water has been coming from this property for many many years so clearly a leak somewhere
