Stones on pavement creating danger to pedestrians and drivers

Reported via desktop in the Obstruction on road or pavement category anonymously at 17:49, Thursday 9 January 2025

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 6958341.

Stones and bricks have been put on the pavement around Pera Road/Thomas Street junction (around 34 Thomas St perimeter). These stones block a public pavement. They are dangerous to both pedestrians using the pavement and drivers who run into the stones when they fall into the road. This is a public pavement not a private walkway and the person who repeatedly puts these stones here needs to be told not to, rather than the council simply removing the stones and reporting the matter resolved. This is a dangerous situation and a public liability accident and claim waiting to happen unless it is resolved correctly.
