I think that the tree roots need to be accomodated. The trees are much loved in this village and we need to work with them as they are an important part of our environment and why the village is so special. Elderly people can access the church very easily from the other direction which is wider and also has a flat surface. We also wish to keep the village a dark village to protect the nocturnal behaviours of the bats and owls in the village and to encourage a wonder at the dark night skies.
