Overhanging and tree height issue

Reported via mobile in the Trees and woodland category anonymously at 12:15, Sunday 2 March 2025

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 7212141.

Please can someone let me know how often the trees are maintained along the bypass? The trees behind our property are now taller than our house, unsafe and unstable branches from where the trees are so high have been flying into our property in recent winds, the branches over hang the back of the property by over a meter and have put so much pressure on our back fence that the fence has basically fallen and it’s just going to get worse in summer when it continues to grow, all the dead leaves flood our garden and now the trees completely block any sunlight entering the garden. Please can someone look at this? Happy to give the house number, I will give my contact details on the next page.

  • This is now much worse than it was. The trees are hugely overhanging our property now. Please provide an update on when they can be cut back to reasonable levels.
