Dangerous tree
Reported via desktop in the Fallen tree across road or pavement category anonymously at 14:15, Thu 13 March 2025
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 7273360.
The tree outside 69, northmead road, BA3 2SH, has never been trimmed for height. Now a large branch has fallen outside of our house onto the pavement, I have removed and put on the grass verge. Previously and recently another large branch had fallen in our drive. I am unable to send a photo

Tree is routinely inspected for it's condition and action is taken if any significant defects that may affect public safety are identified. Healthy trees such as this one are not reduced in height as this practice results in an increase in vigour in the growth at the top of the tree so regrows rapidly and also can be detrimental to the health and strength of the tree.
