Dead Tree in Hedgemead Park

Reported via desktop in the Trees and woodland category anonymously at 10:37, Thursday 1 May 2025

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 7508583.

There is a tree which is near to the boundary of the back of 35 Belvedere, which looks dead and is therefore a risk to this property and also to pedestrians using the path in Hedgemead Park which it is also near to. It looks like it is mostly held up by ivy. This area, which is a bank, is also untidy and often used by drug users so would benefit from a tidy up to discourage this. There is also a conifer here which is leaning over the path significantly so please can this also be looked at.

  • Thanks for supplying additional photos. The box tree is in poor health and will be removed. The Lawson cypress near the path is inspected regularly to check on the lean angle of the main stem. This report will be closed when the works are completed.
