Broken tactile indicator by entrance of Sydney Gardens

Reported via mobile in the Park safety issue category anonymously at 15:00, Sun 11 May 2025

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 7551992.

I'm reporting a fault with the tactile indicator at the pedestrian crossing located at the entrance of Sydney gardens from Bathwick street side of the park. The button at the bottom, which is used by visually impaired pedestrians to activate a tactile signal and audible tone indicating when it's safe to cross, appears to be broken. When pressed, it does not produce any sound or vibration, meaning visually impaired individuals cannot reliably determine when it is safe to cross at this location. This poses a significant safety risk and needs urgent repair.
