Purlewent Drive Green

Reported via mobile in the Overgrown vegetation in Council parks and green spaces category anonymously at 13:20, Wednesday 14 May 2025

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 7568640.

Back last year, myself and a few neighbours cut the over grown material, around the base of the two hawthorn trees on the green to enable them to grow and get water. The plant material is now starting to grow up these trees again. Would it be possible for someone to come and cut it back please, before the trees get overgrown again. Many thanks

Updates

  • Thank you for reporting this issue.

The trees referred to in this report appear to be in good health, and the epicormic growth at their base provides a good habitat for insects and wildlife. This growth also doesn’t affect the trees ability to get water.

The report is now closed, further comments may not be monitored.

State changed to: No further action
