Untamed sycamore tree in Ring common allotments

Untamed sycamore tree in Ring Common allotments casting huge shadow on local gardens and shedding leaves in autumn. Has grown out of all proportion to its situation. It is too close to walls and properties. Is not an indigenous species and supports very little wildlife according to a visiting bug specialist from Bath city farm. Needs strenuous pruning and cutting back.

  • Thank you for the report. The tree will be inspected regularly for it's condition and appropriate action taken if any risks to public safety or property are identified. The tree does have a value in sequestering carbon and contributing to the environment in this urban location.
