Planting removed 2 years ago and now left to brambles

Reported via mobile in the Overgrown vegetation in Council parks and green spaces category anonymously at 21:13, Fri 30 May 2025

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 7640829.

Two year ago we were told the park on the end of Kensington gardens was due for a ‘refresh’. Much time and labour and love was spent by parks team cutting and removing shrubs and brambles ready for replacement. Apparently budgets were slashed and planting never happened. Now in year 2 budget is apparently still unavailable to replant and brambles, drug dealers etc…thrive….the latest solution seems to be to dump shredded matter from other presumable maintained park onto the brambles…is this to feed or feed mulch them??? Or just to get rid of organic matter from the rest of Bath…come on parks you found a budget for other parks…makes some effort… your works team have worked really hard but this is Groundhog Day….either get your poor team to cut back brambles everything year again and make them sad and embarrassed or come up with a planting plan and put some plants in…show us some respect we live here. We don’t go to the city centre parks too many tourists…we don’t shout to much because we all have to work and earn money to live and pay council tax.
