Very overgrown footpath making it dangerous at night

The drainage channel on right hand side of Shrubbery is completely overgrown with large shrubs. These have been there for over a year, and are getting larger and more obstructive. This makes the path very unsafe for people (especially women on their own), particularly at night as it is impossible to see clearly along the path. Also will cause issues with flooding if these drainage channels are allowed to become so obstructed.

Updates

  • This is a problem that's been brewing for ages. If the plants had been tackled when first reported, when they were much smaller, there would be considerably less work needed now. A lesson for other locations with weeds perhaps.

    Even more overgrown now at top half of footpath. Making it even more dangerous to use at night. Come on BNES - this is not difficult to sort!

  • We've passed this report to another team in the council. They will carry out any further work needed. Sometimes it can take a little longer as a result.
