Rear property exit/entrance gate

My mother has passed away and her house is now for sale. The back gate is blocked by a very overgrown hedge. The hedge is on the other side of the garden wall which is on a public walkway. Please can the hedge be maintained to allow entry/exit via the back gate. It has also grown extremely high above the garden wall. The address is 14 Highfield Road, Peasedown St John, Bath, BA2 8HF.
