Large puddle constantly splashing pedestrians

Reported via mobile in the Flooding of a road or pavement category anonymously at 18:22, Wed 3 September 2025

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council 1 minute later. Council ref: 8115302.

I use the path Infront of the holiday Inn everyday to walk to work and back. In the wet months there is a huge puddle which I get splashed by atleast once a week. Sometimes to the point where it covers you and you have to call off work to go change. This is awful due to it being dirty horrid water and getting you soaked in the cold wet months. It happened to several people I have witnesses constantly. Is is especially bad with lorry’s and buses

  • I would like to report the same thing. This issue has been here for the past 3 years and it does not seem to have been dealt with or improved at all. The university term time is going to start soon, and many students now walk via this path to the bus stop at St James Cemetery (since the busses stop turning into Brougham Hayes and Oldfield Park area), and the buses will not stop at St James Cemetery as well and students will be walking into Oldfield Park via this path.

It seems like the drains are blocked (at least for the one I could observe), and the puddle becomes really huge and the splash is insane (as you can see the pavement is all wet from the splashes).

Thank you very much and I sincerely hope that this issue is dealt with swiftly before the raining season gets worse.
