Accident this morning
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 8234393.
Today I witnessed a vehicle driving quite fast down Forefield Rise. At the bottom it collided with a guy running. There was a loud noise as he mounted the bonnet however he survived if a little shocked. There is no definition between where is the road and where is the pavement. Vehicles should stop dead before driving over the pavement which is a busy walkway, except there is nothing to notify them. If this had been a child or an older person it would have been terrible. The entrance and exit to the nearby garden centre has the same problem. Albeit vehicles are not going so fast. Most are polite but some just drive over the pavement without considering that it is a walkway.

This is a very dangerous junction where the road (which is designated as a pathway) goes across the pavement with no signs or warnings. The runner landed on the bonnet of the 4 wheel drive … if it was an older (or younger) person it could have been tragic. This junction needs to be redesigned.

Still waiting for some improvements to this junction. Vehicles hurtle down this hill - which is just a one way lane, with no warning signs to say that the end goes over a busy pavement. I have seen several near misses here but one in particular where a young jogger on the pavement was catapulted onto the bonnet of a 4 wheel drive. It was really frightening. Luckily the victim was young and bounced back off but what if it was a child or an older person? This needs fixing ASAP.
