Branches from nearby trees have fallen

Reported via desktop in the Fallen tree across road or pavement category anonymously at 20:01, Tuesday 7 October 2025

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 8265966.

During the storm at the weekend several large branches have fallen onto the verge alongside the A39, also a large branch has fallen onto the grass verge alongside the pavement . These trees had dangerous branches removed several months so it seems as if they need checking again.

Updates

  • Thank you for your report , we were at sites yesterday and aware that Storm Amy had dislodged some small tree debris here. It has been noted to clear.

  • These branches have still not been cleared and several have again been blown into the road and been moved by drivers as they were a danger to traffic . Please can this be given priority before there is an accident as they are not visible in the dark.

  • Thank you for your report. The council tree inspector visited the site and found that small branches dislodged were consistent with what is to be expected from healthy trees during a storm event. No significant defects were noted. This report is now closed.
