On Midford Road just after junction with Midford Lane

Reported via mobile in the Manhole & drain cover damage category anonymously at 12:05, Mon 27 October 2025

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 8343097.

The manhole has become loose and is rattling each time a vehicle goes over it. The noise was low at first and now has become very intrusive. You can see the tarmac is damaged next to the cover so the housing for the manhole is likely loose or distorted.

  • Dear Team, please advise status? I think someone looked at this and did a quick fix but the problem has returned and the clackerty clack is back and getting very loud. Could someone schedule this to be fixed? I really think the housing of the manhole is loose. Thanks

  • Could you provide an update, this is two months old now and the issue is getting worse. I think someone has had a look at this some time ago but did not fix the problem. Please advise as the sound is very disruptive. Thanks
