I am writing to report an issue regarding cones that have been left behind from recent road works. These cones have now been taken by local residents and placed in a valuable school pick-up area, which is preventing 4–5 cars from parking safely. This situation is causing significant disruption and safety concerns. Previously, I have personally experienced verbal abuse from residents while trying to find a safe parking spot with a young child in the car. The shouting and swearing directed at me was extremely distressing, and this current misuse of cones is escalating tensions further. The residents have no authority to use these cones to block public parking spaces. These spots are essential for safe school drop-off and pick-up, and the cones need to be collected as soon as possible to restore access. Please could this be addressed urgently? Thank you for your attention to this matter.
