Missing signage and lights
Reported via mobile in the Road sign damage category by Bridget Newbery at 22:52, Thu 4 December 2025
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 8503886.
B&NES have this spot registered as a crossing with signage and lights. The lights and school crossing signage have either been damaged and removed, or never existed. Please can they be installed / reinstated? When there is no school crossing patrol the kids are at the mercy of cars and lorries pushing through, and although there is a dropped curb, it's largely invisible to vehicle drivers. It's a main route to school but there is not a crossing here (or in fact the entire length of North Road).

Parking outside the Coop and North Road cottage has become an issue. Cars are parking on double yellows, across driveways and using the loading bay when not unloading. Half of the time the Coop car park is empty. These problems are causing increase traffic issues as abandoned vehicles using the shops are clogging up the streets looking for parking. There has to be a better way to solve this issue and then help the movement of traffic through the village at busy times.
