Reported via desktop in the Abandoned Vehicles/Bikes category anonymously at 11:02, Wed 31 December 2025

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 8609325.

Vehicle Abandoned in King Georges Road communal car park adjacent to No.1 King Georges Road. Not moved in over six weeks. MOT Expired 1st Feb 2025. Tax Expired 1st Mar 2025

Updates

  • Even if the vehicle is hid away in a garage it should still have a sorn on it so hurry up Banes and sort it out. It might stop all the illegal parking in the area when it’s busy (term time).

  • Why are you investigating, it’s simple, car has no mot or tax it should be removed now!!!

  • DVLA has legislation that allows them to remove untaxed vehicles immediately. The Council legislation for removing abandoned vehicles is not simple and procedures have to be followed. Please feel free to report it to DVLA : https://www.gov.uk/ report-untaxed-vehicle

  • This vehicle has been reported to the DVLA as 'un-taxed' on numerous occasions without results. Trying to report the vehicle as 'Abandoned' via the DVLA URL you supplied simply refers back to the Local Authority, which in this case is B&NES! Words like 'buck', 'passing' & 'useless' spring to mind! Get a grip & dispose of it preferably before the 2nd Anniversary of it's overdue MOT!

  • Why is it such a hassle to report a clearly illegal abandoned vehicle to the authorities through the proper channels. Why do Banes offer this service if they choose to try and pass the problem off to someone else. At least there’s one plus to this car being there. It stops all the rubbish being dumped there from all the houses being worked on in this area.
