Even if the vehicle is hid away in a garage it should still have a sorn on it so hurry up Banes and sort it out. It might stop all the illegal parking in the area when it’s busy (term time).

DVLA has legislation that allows them to remove untaxed vehicles immediately. The Council legislation for removing abandoned vehicles is not simple and procedures have to be followed. Please feel free to report it to DVLA : https://www.gov.uk/ report-untaxed-vehicle

This vehicle has been reported to the DVLA as 'un-taxed' on numerous occasions without results. Trying to report the vehicle as 'Abandoned' via the DVLA URL you supplied simply refers back to the Local Authority, which in this case is B&NES! Words like 'buck', 'passing' & 'useless' spring to mind! Get a grip & dispose of it preferably before the 2nd Anniversary of it's overdue MOT!

Why is it such a hassle to report a clearly illegal abandoned vehicle to the authorities through the proper channels. Why do Banes offer this service if they choose to try and pass the problem off to someone else. At least there’s one plus to this car being there. It stops all the rubbish being dumped there from all the houses being worked on in this area.
