Pothole/ drain damage- Just before the bus stop- just after the junction

Reported via desktop in the Potholes & road surface category anonymously at 19:14, Friday 16 January 2026

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 8705169.

Tarmac has come away from the drain, creating a very deep pot hole and a sharp corner. I have unfortunately hit this pothole/damage today, resulting in my tyre bursting and having to call out roadside assistance. There are two potholes very close to each other, I have sent over photos of the one I hit. This has ended up costing me £234.99 to get fixed aswell as unpaid time off work due to the poor road conditions. I can provide further photos of the pothole and my damaged tyre alongside the receipt. I would like to make a claim for the cost of my tyre. I look forward to hearing back from you, thank you.
