Grass pavement unusable

Reported via mobile in the Overgrown vegetation in Council parks and green spaces category anonymously at 10:38, Thursday 5 February 2026

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council 25 minutes later. Council ref: 8843796.

This is both a pavement and a parking issue. The pavement here is a grass one. Cars regularly park on the outside bend of the road, but that means that vehicles cannot pass by without mounting the opposite curb. As this happens daily, the repeated impact of heavy vehicles such as vans and recycling trucks has churned up the grass pavement into thick mud, making it unwalkable.

This is a route well used by children walking to the nearby school, so there needs to be a safe pavement for them to step onto.

The stone border that marks the boundary between the pavement and the corner house's garden also appears to have been crushed and dislodged. And vehicles are now driving further onto the garden of this house to avoid getting stuck in the mud.

The only solution I can see would be to add double yellow lines on the bend, or to make the pavement a paved one rather than grass.
