Fencing and rubbish/glass left from the cable works
Reported via Android in the Park safety issue category anonymously at 11:02, Sunday 22 February 2026
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 8972527.
There is still lots of rubbish/rubble/ glass left on Kensington Meadows following the cable replacement works that seem to be now complete. There is however still so much broken glass lying around - the grass is now regrowing and covering up the glass which is an accident just waiting to happen. Lots of people use the meadows for recreation and dog walking and with the children's play area very close by this needs to be sorted asap. I'm aware that the issue has been reported several times already but no action ever seems to be taken.

When is this going to be sorted!! We are now almost in summer and still unable to use the meadows properly, with no access to the seating areas. This needs to be sorted asap or at least some explanation about why nothing has been done to sort the problem

The meadows are in the process of being reinstated after the National Grid works. We will update your report once the work is complete.
