Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 8991643.
Dear Sir/Madam, I am a resident at Mulberry Way and I am writing to report repeated damage to the grass verge/green area beside the road.
During works between November/December and February, vehicles and equipment were regularly placed on the grass, which has caused significant rutting, soil compaction and loss of turf. Although the main works have finished, vehicles still continue to drive over the grass, and the damage is worsening. Photographs are attached.
Mud is spreading onto the adjacent hardstanding/road edge, which may create a slip hazard, particularly in wet weather. Photographs are attached for reference.
On one occasion, a vehicle also struck and damaged the low garden wall/border adjacent to the verge. We arranged repair at our own cost, and the invoice can be provided if required.
I would be grateful if you could please:
1) Arrange reinstatement of the damaged verge, including regrading/topsoil and re-turfing or reseeding as appropriate.
2) Consider suitable preventative measures to stop further vehicle access from the parking side. This may include a low-level physical deterrent (e.g. posts/bollards, timber edging, or appropriate low planting) that maintains visibility and road safety.
If appropriate, I would be happy to assist with planting under council guidance or an agreed scheme.
Please let me know if you require any further details. Kind regards, Dr Pooyan Makvandi 8 Mulberry way Tel:7936468598
